The Magic of Life

The traffic lights are stuck
On amber all the time
Is it green or red
Or am I going blind
The roads drawn on the map
Are changing all the time
Here I am looking at the signs

I’m falling – I’m flying
It shows that I’m still trying
I’m smiling – I’m crying
A part of me is dying
And it comes as no surprise
The funerals are on time
The magic of life

I’m sitting on the edge
And I’m looking down
Should I take the chance
And move on down the line
On the other side
The sun is shining bright
It’s always hard, to leave some things behind

I’m falling – I’m flying
It shows that I’m still trying
I’m smiling – I’m crying
A part of me is dying
And it comes as no surprise
The funerals are on time
The magic of life

The finer things in life
Are hard to define
I feel them running scared
Inside my heart and mind
Somewhere along the road
I’ll have to say goodbye
Somehow it always makes me cry

I’m falling – I’m flying
It shows that I’m still trying
I’m smiling – I’m crying
A part of me is dying
And it comes as no surprise
The funerals are on time
The magic of life
